Founded in 2013 by Sue Burton, Lemon Tree Design is a New Zealand women’s fashion and lifestyle brand known for its modern, effortless style and easy-going approach to fashion.
After moving to New Zealand, Sue recognised a need for stylish, high quality clothing at an affordable price for Kiwi women. What started as a small business from a room under the stairs has, over the past 13 years, grown into a much loved fashion label with beautiful offices and a busy warehouse in Auckland.
Today, Lemon Tree Design is powered by an incredible team of passionate, hardworking women who are dedicated to delivering exceptional service, quality fashion, and a positive customer experience.

Sue is a highly visual and commercial fashion designer, proudly carrying on a third-generation design legacy from Newcastle, England.
With an immense background in fashion from constructing garments in her parents factory to teaching at Newcastle College and working with renowned brands like Laura Ashley, Ted Baker, and M&S, she brings her industry knowledge and creativity to everything she does or envisions.
An exceptional attention to detail and a sales person by nature, Sue is capable of wearing many hats while remaining grounded enough to delegate with ease. She is a natural leader and a supportive mentor to the team. Fearless in challenging industry norms, Sue is the visionary founder and driving force behind the company.

This organization provides clothing and accessories for women re-entering the workforce. Every year we donate a number of garments to their shop in Auckland.
